The story takes place in a super company called Lumon. A new technology called memory segmentation is being experimented within the company. Employees who have undergone the operation will undergo personality separation surgery to form a company personality and a daily personality. When they step into the company's door, their daily personality will fall into a deep sleep, and the body will be dominated by the company personality. Conversely, at the moment of leaving the company, the daily personality will take over the body again. Of course, this personality will not remember anything that happened in the company. Mark (Adam Scott), Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Irvin (John Turturro) all underwent separation surgery. On this day, their department ushered in a new colleague named Haley (Britt Lower).
