This drama tells the story of "the deepest love in life, which cannot withstand the passage of time". The unruly swordsman Huo Zhanbai (played by Zeng Shunxi) seeks medicine for his friend's son and meets Xue Ziye (played by Li Qin), the owner of the Pharmacist Valley. Over the past eight years, the two people, each with their own obsessions, have gone from being at loggerheads to becoming close friends who cherish each other. However, due to their respective responsibilities, they are unable to express their love and eventually part ways forever. The drama is adapted from Cang Yue's novel of the same name.
