Adapted from the best-selling book of the same name by Pete Brown, the film focuses on the adventure of the robot Rose (voiced by Lupita Nyong'o). She drifted to an isolated island due to an accident, deviated from the development track preset by the program, had to face the dangerous living environment, and tried to establish a relationship with the wary and hostile wild animals. As Rose met a little grey goose (voiced by Kit Connor) and became his "mother", she gradually found a sense of belonging on this deserted island. The defined programming is about to be broken, and a spiritual story about love is about to unfold.
