Ten years ago, when director Ryo Takeuchi was filming the documentary "The Great Journey of the Yangtze River" for NHK, he left a regret: he failed to shoot the "first drop of water at the source of the Yangtze River". Ten years later, he moved to Nanjing, China and was determined to make up for this regret. After two years of careful preparation, he embarked on a 6,300-kilometer journey along the Yangtze River again in 2021 to reunite with old friends. Under Ryo Takeuchi's lens, there are not only magnificent natural scenery, but also the simple smiles of ordinary people and moving stories that bring tears to people's eyes. He captured the customs and people along the Yangtze River and the real life of the people, showing the great changes in China in the past ten years after its economic take-off. As a foreigner who has lived in China for nearly ten years, Director Ryo Takeuchi hopes to let the world see the real Chinese and the real China while fulfilling his ten-year promise. The film version, re-edited by Director Takeuchi, will bring a new audio-visual experience to the audience.
