The film is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Balzac. It tells the story of a young poet Rubampré (Vosin) who dreams of becoming a writer and leaves Angoulême for the lights of Paris. This film, set in the 19th century, has an investment of over 18.7 million euros and has started shooting in France this summer and will continue until the end of October.
