Cold Case is different from CSI in that it presents the crime investigation process like a documentary to the audience and does not have the support of many of today's cutting-edge technologies. In this drama, there are almost no scenes similar to CSI about using high-tech to analyze corpses for clues. Lilly Rush, as the only female detective in the Philadelphia Homicide Division, is the absolute core character of this TV series which is about investigating old cases.
