The film is adapted from the attempted hijacking of a Korean Air F-27 in January 1971. It is set in the 1970s when passenger plane hijackings were rampant around the world. It tells the story of a passenger plane being hijacked over South Korea in 1971 and the crew and passengers fighting a desperate battle under extreme circumstances.
