Tang Sanzang and his disciples traveled to Lion Camel Ridge and encountered villagers of the Lion Camel tribe who were captured by monsters. When Wukong was rescuing his people, he was discovered by the monsters. Wukong and Bajie fought on their own and underestimated the enemy. Everyone fell into the trap. The three kings defeated Wukong with three magic weapons and spread the news that Tang Sanzang had been eaten alive. The distraught Wukong sought help from the Buddha and understood that it was difficult for a lone goose to fly and that unity and cooperation were needed. The three brothers worked together and fortunately got the help of the Bodhisattva to finally rescue the remaining people. The four masters and disciples continued their journey to the west and cooperated closely.
