An emotionally distant writer, who for years has avoided interacting with his neurotic sister (Brittany Snow), bumbling but well-meaning father (Matt Walsh), and untrustworthy stepfather (David Arquette), returns to his hometown of Cleveland to attend the funeral of his beloved mother.
