Plot:
Apple has officially booked a full season of Pachinko. Last August, Apple acquired the copyright of the novel of the same name written by Lee Myung-jin and planned to make a TV series. Now it is officially going to be filmed. Soo Hugh (The Man Who Fell to Earth, Under the Dome) serves as the screenwriter, operator, and executive producer. The novel records the hopes and dreams of four generations of a Korean immigrant family in the United States. It begins with a forbidden love story and develops into a long legend spanning Korea, Japan, and the United States. The book was named one of the top ten best books of 2017 by the New York Times and was shortlisted for the National Book Award.
