It tells the story of seven years after the world turned into a frozen wasteland. The surviving humans live on a giant train that runs forever. The train has 1,001 carriages and is divided into different levels. The wealthy elite occupy the front, the poor live in the back, and people who have been oppressed all their lives decide to stand up and resist. At the end of the first season, Layton (Diggs) became the leader of the train, but he discovered that Wilford was still alive and drove on another train. Melanie risked her life to stop Wilford from invading the Snowpiercer, and a new power struggle was about to surface.
