The story comes to Yorkshire in 1834. Anne Lister and Ann Walker settle down at Shibden Manor as husband and wife, and decide to combine their property to become a fearless couple, and all eyes fall on them. Anne Lister's entrepreneurial spirit and her unconventional love life have terrified the locals. Halifax is also on the brink of change, and her refusal to keep a low profile makes everything more likely to provoke disputes and cause danger. The second season will continue to use Anne Lister's real diary as material, and screenwriter Sally Wainwright will create the script based on historical facts and 5 million words in the diary.
