Ashley Smith (Kate Mara), a single mother addicted to drugs, was taken hostage by a black man named Brian Nichols (David Oyelowo) who suddenly broke into her home. Brian was a fugitive who had escaped from prison, and the police also believed that he had killed the judge who was examining his case. However, this experience of hostage-taking and hostage-taking eventually led them to save each other's lives. This film is adapted from "Accidental Angels", written by Ashley Smith based on her personal experience.
