Plot:
At the end of the Warring States period, wars and attacks continued, and no one cared about the suffering of the people. When the prince of Qin, Ying Zheng, was held hostage by the State of Zhao as a child, a kind-hearted woman from the State of Yan raised him and her son Gao Jianli. When the King of Xiang died, Ying Zheng returned to Qin with the envoys to ascend the throne, and the two friends were separated from each other. After becoming the King of Qin, Ying Zheng (played by Jiang Wen) ordered the Three Qin armies to attack cities and conquer territories, and the princes of various countries were terrified. After the destruction of Zhao, the great cause of unification was just around the corner. Thinking of the old feelings, the King of Qin hoped to find Gao Jianli (played by Ge You) to compose "Ode to Qin".
