The drama is a prequel to the national TV series "Investigation Team Leader" broadcast by MBC TV in South Korea from 1971 to 1989. It is set in 1958 and tells the prequel story of Park Young-han (played by Lee Je-hoon) and his colleagues solving cases passionately before he officially became the "Investigation Team Leader".
