Sanka Reiya (voiced by Uchida Maaya) should have been a happy and lively girl, but her overly imaginative appearance with her deceased mother inspired her father Sanka Danichiro (voiced by Ishizuka Unsho) to dote on her and restrain her to the limit, which made Reiya feel extremely painful, and even fell off a cliff and died. Unexpectedly, Reiya's death led to a relationship between her and the boy Chihiro Furuya (voiced by Kimura Ryohei) whom she met by chance. In order to revive his beloved cat, Furuya, who was extremely fanatical about zombies, developed a strange potion. He used this potion on the dead Reiya, but unexpectedly, Reiya was reborn as a zombie. In this way, zombie Reiya naturally became a boarder of the Furuya family, and in order to make Reiya a normal girl again, Furuya began to run around to research new potions.
