Plot:
The story of this season takes place from 2016 to 2017, with the US election as the background. In a small town in Michigan, Elle Mayfair-Richards (Sarah Paulson) runs a restaurant. Since Trump came to power, Elle's long-suppressed phobias have gradually emerged. She began to be frightened by clowns at home, but the police and her wife Ivy (Alison Pill) both believed that she had mental problems. Although Elle has been taking medication with the help of psychiatrist Rudy Vincent (Cheyenne Jackson), her occasional panic breakdowns have affected her relationship with her wife and children. The new nanny Winter Anderson (Billie Lourd) instilled violent ideas into Elle's son, and the weird new neighbors Harrison (Billy Eichner) and Meadow (Leslie Grossman) continued to cause trouble for Elle, and Elle became the target of some people. On the other side of the town, the extreme right-wing Kai Anderson (Evan Peters) is a Trump supporter. His goal is to rule the world, and the first step is to become a city council member. He organized a cult, committed murders in the town, put on a mask to cause panic, and shaped his image to win votes. The darkness behind politics is the source of people's fear...
