Apple has ordered a half-hour series "Dickinson" starring Hailee Steinfeld, who will play Emily Dickinson, one of the pioneers of modernist poetry in the 20th century. The series is written by Alena Smith (The Affair) and directed by David Gordon Green. The series will be set in the era when Emily Dickinson lived, and the story revolves around Dickinson's family and her process of creating her own poetry. The series will also witness Dickinson's personal growth process.
