The story of the show takes place in the world of "The Boys", which is part college life and part "The Hunger Games". At the only college in the United States for teenage superheroes operated by "Vought International", students are not born with superpowers. They are the first superheroes to know about V compounds and gain their powers through injections. These hormone-filled and competitive young heroes will challenge their physical and moral bottom lines in order to compete for the school's coveted top ranking. They soon realize that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the distinction between right and wrong is not as clear as they once thought. When the university's dark secrets are exposed, students must figure out what kind of heroes they want to be.
