Plot:
Cheng Yong (Xu Zheng), an ordinary middle-aged man, runs a health care product store. He is frustrated and divorced. The arrival of an uninvited guest, Lv Shouyi (Wang Chuanjun), opens up a new business of buying medicine in India as a "proxy purchase". Although there are many difficulties, he finds business opportunities on this "road to buying medicine" and becomes the exclusive agent of Indian generic drugs for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia. While making money, he also meets several patients and their families, including Sihui (Tan Zhuo), who is forced to be a dancer to save her daughter, Pastor Liu (Yang Xinming), who speaks fluent "priest accent" English, and the hot-tempered "Huangmao" (Zhang Yu). Several people start a business together, and while the profits double, they are also surrounded by dangers. Cheng Yong's former brother-in-law, Officer Cao (Zhou Yiwei), is ordered to investigate the source of generic drugs. Counterfeit drug dealer Zhang Changlin (Wang Yanhui) and Swiss genuine pharmaceutical representative (Li Naiwen) are also eyeing him, and the business gradually becomes a tug-of-war about redemption. This film is adapted from the true story of Lu Yong, a chronic myeloid leukemia patient, who purchased anti-cancer drugs on behalf of others.
