Plot:
Max (Kat Dennings), a black-haired and sassy girl, works in a low-end restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. Her colleagues include the short Asian boss Han Lee, the cook Oleg (Jonathan Kite) who loves to tell dirty jokes, and the elderly cashier Earl. The new waitress Caroline (Beth Behrs) is tall and blonde, and looks like a socialite, which is out of place with the restaurant's grade. Max questioned Caroline's identity and accidentally learned that Caroline was once a real rich girl in Manhattan, and she had to work in the store to survive after her father went bankrupt. Max, who is sharp-tongued and soft-hearted, took in the homeless Caroline. Although they have different identities and backgrounds, the two girls became good friends because they were both penniless. Although Caroline was in trouble, she was always thinking about using her business acumen to make a career. She accidentally discovered that Max had the talent to make cupcakes, so she encouraged Max to open a cake shop with her. However, to realize this dream, they have to try to raise $250,000 in start-up funds, which seems to be a big challenge for the cash-strapped sisters...
