Plot:
Fei Bao (Sammo Hung), the eldest disciple of Maoshan Taoist Jiu Shu (Lin Zhengying), is betrothed to Zhu Nu (Gong Ci'en), the daughter of a teahouse owner. However, his father-in-law dislikes Fei Bao's poverty and wants to marry his daughter to Shi Gongzi, a son of a wealthy family. In order to prepare a high betrothal gift, Fei Bao runs a porridge stall to make money. Unexpectedly, the first customer is a female ghost. Fei Bao follows her and learns that this female ghost named Xiao Hong (Wang Wenjun) is lingering in the world to take care of her blind mother. So he pretends to be Xiao Hong's cousin and takes the mother and daughter home. Fei Bao's junior brother Xiao Hai (Meng Hai) learns about this and asks Xiao Hong to seduce Shi Gongzi to help his senior brother make money.
