Plot:
Bill Kincaid (Edward Norton), a professor of classical philosophy who is loved by students and has a flourishing career, hurried back to his hometown in Oklahoma, Little Dixie, Tulsa, after hearing the news of the death of his twin brother Brady (Edward Norton). Brady's friend Bolger (Tim Blake Nelson) was in charge of picking him up at the airport, and when he got home, he found that Brady had not been shot by a crossbow. Although Bill was angry, he still agreed to visit his mother (Susan Sarandon) in the nursing home the next day, whom he had not seen for more than ten years. Brady took Bill to visit the seventh generation of soilless hydroponic high-quality marijuana that he designed and assembled, and introduced him to Janet (Keri Russell), an English teacher at a local middle school. Just as Bill was about to return to school, he learned that he was involved in a murder case of a Jewish drug lord (Richard Dreyfuss)...
