After Gotham was broadcast as a spin-off of Batman, DC decided to adapt Lucifer into a TV series. The bored King of Hell was not happy at all on the throne. He decided to abandon his kingdom of hell and came to Los Angeles to become a bar owner, pursuing the exciting life of the entertainment capital and helping the Los Angeles police to punish criminals.
