The series is based on a real CIA program in which women are trained to infiltrate terrorist organizations and criminal networks. The story follows Cruz Manuelos, an inexperienced but passionate Marine who is recruited by the CIA to join the "Lioness" combat team to try to dismantle a terrorist organization from within. Joe is a strong-willed and indomitable woman, the station chief of the CIA's "Lioness" project. She is responsible for training, managing and leading her female agents.
