Steve Marieweather, aka Agent Marie, was once a hotshot at the American Intelligence Agency (AIA), but then, due to coming out, he was sent to West Hollywood, where the agency wanted him to disappear into the sea of people. Instead, Agent Marie formed a misfit team of LGBTQ talent, named Q-Force. After waiting for their first official mission for nearly a decade, Marie was determined to prove herself to the agency that had betrayed him, and decided to go against the agency and go it alone with Q-Force. After they found their own cases and solved them their own way, they were given the very reluctant approval of the agency to be promoted to active covert agents, working in the field. However, this approval had an important prerequisite - they had to tolerate a new member of the team - straight male agent Buck.
