Plot:
The story is about a time in the near future when people no longer live in the natural world, but in Romdo (the dome); humans do not need emotions to exist, as long as they abide by the rules, they can become good citizens and maintain their lives. The story begins when immigrant Vincent arrives in the dome. His guardian Re-I is a beautiful police officer and the granddaughter of the supreme ruler of the dome. Soon after Vincent arrived, many murders occurred in the dome, and many autoreivs were infected (autoreives are intelligent robots, including work type, companion type, pet type, etc. The so-called infection is erosion by cogito, which simply means the emergence of self-awareness and emotions). Re-I began to investigate the matter, and the newly appointed director of the Security Bureau, Raul, also took his autoreiv out. During this period, Vincent's autoreiv was infected and died, and a huge monster appeared to chase him; Re-I was attacked by a monster in his own home and was sent to the hospital due to excessive shock. The gloomy pictures and trivial plots construct Romdo's management and law enforcement system and the intricate relationships between characters in a fragmented way; until Vincent was regarded as a lawbreaker, and he misunderstood that Re-I had betrayed him. Disheartened, he realized that he could not become a good citizen and fled Romdo in a way that others thought was suicide. After that, the story took a turn for the better, and surprisingly found that Romdo was not the only one in the world. Vincent began his journey to find himself, although at first he did not realize how he was different from others. With the infected pet autoreiv Pino, he was rescued by people outside the dome, and fought with them against the machines that tried to destroy them. He was surprised to find that Re-I actually came to find him, and witnessed the death of people in the battle, making the lie become reality. The living people were asked to send Re-I, who could not adapt to the outside air, back to the dome, and he chose to leave, taking Pino with him, riding a sailboat, that was a rabbit that was not afraid of the dangerous future. During the journey, Vincent met various characters called Proxy, and gradually realized that he was also a Proxy, not a human, but he was unwilling to admit it. In order to uncover the secret of the dome, Re-I found Vincent again, confused, and carrying a weapon that could kill Proxy. The one who was trembling with fear was not Vincent (the male protagonist) who was afraid of being killed but still returned the weapon to Re-I, nor was it the beautiful sister who lost her autoreiv and the prince (the female protagonist), nor was it the innocent girl (Pino) who liked to wear a fox suit and learned to be happy and sad; the one who was trembling with fear was the audience, trying to figure out the ambiguous relationship between Vincent and Re-I, and guessing at the fate of Romdo. When Pino finally grabbed Re-I who jumped from the collapsed dome, half of the hanging heart was relieved; when Re-I smiled and said that she would pick up Vincent, the story came to an end, and a beginning in another sense.
