This 52-episode large-scale domestic animation is adapted from the classic novel "Journey to the West". Tang Monk led his disciples Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Monk and White Dragon Horse to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures. They encountered 81 difficulties on the way and finally obtained the true scriptures and achieved the right result. The animation has added many contemporary elements to the familiar prototype, which is more contemporary than previous versions. It not only retains the essence of the classic, but also creates a well-known animated version of the master and apprentice image. "Journey to the West" was jointly invested and produced by the Animation Department of CCTV and Torch Animation Branch of China International Television Corporation. It cost a huge amount of money and took 6 years to complete. At present, the animated version of "Journey to the West" has been translated into many foreign languages such as English, French, and Spanish.
