It tells the story of how the Lord of the Shadow Demon City, Mo Ying, uses the power of the Demon City to satisfy all desires to bring out Tang Sanzang's inner demons in order to control him and seize the Eternal Flame. In the end, Tang Sanzang overcomes his inner demons and awakens again. He and his disciples join forces to defeat Mo Ying, dismantle the Demon City that has been scouring the world, and embark on the journey of saving the world again.
