In the 19th century, during the Japanese Civil War, the old shogunate was losing ground while the new government continued to advance. Although the Shibata clan, located in the decisive territory, expressed its support for the old shogunate, it only sent eleven soldiers to garrison the key crossing to defend against the new government army. These soldiers were actually death row prisoners who were ordered by the feudal lord to impersonate them as a lure of forgiveness. In a blink of an eye, the new government’s army is at the gates of the city! There are not only thieves and gamblers, but also rapists, murderers, arsonists and a fool.
